Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tex is a tri-colored fellow who came to BHRG from south Georgia. He is about 3 years old and is a real character. He loves to play and sleep. His ears are shorter, but he is a Basset in every way. He has great markings and color. He walks nicely, but forgets and tugs once in a while, and he will cast an eye on a passing car, but we are making progress on that as well. We are told he doesn't like other dogs, but we don't see it on walks if another passes in the distance. We were told he has a food aggressive behavior, and while we haven't seen it, we do see him as a little more possessive of his toys, sometimes. But we are working on that as well. He didn't come to us house trained, but he is now. We trained him to sit, and we are close to laying down and giving paw on command. Tex has his shots and is in great health. He needs a home with older children that would understand not to bother him while eating. He would certainly be best in a home without another pet. He is fun to be with, fun to walk, and will just lay in your lap if you get on the floor with him.
