Moki's Story...
Just look at this beautiful boy! Wouldn't he look great on your couch by the window? Moki is a sweetheart! His foster mom says "he's shy with people he doesn't know, but if you take time to earn his trust, he is a love bug." He plays well with the other cats in his foster home and doesn't mind the dogs. Although he lives in a busy household with cats, dogs, and grand kids he'd probably prefer a quieter life as he will remove himself from the fray if there is a lot of activity and noise. His favorite pastimes are lying in the cat tree and looking out o the windows; his favorite toys are balls and mice.

Moki would prefer to live in a multi-cat household. If there are no cats in the home of his forever family we will be happy to provide a suitable match. He does have a sister, Makani, who is very shy and if you adopted her to keep him company you might never know she's was there ;-)

Because of Moki's temperament, he is only available for local adoption so that SARA volunteers can provide assistance with his transition to a new home if needed.

Adoption procedure includes an adoption application and home visit.
$95 doption fee applies and includes:
neuter surgery
current on age-appropriate vaccinations (FVRCP and rabies)
FIV/ feline leukemia testing (negative for both)
microchip
cat training/ behavior DVD
certificate for a free veterinary wellness exam
oodles of kitty love ;-)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Moki, a Tucson Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Tucson, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Tucson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tucson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tucson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tucson paves the way for another one to be saved.
