Hi, I'm Ziggy! Some very kind people found me in a landfill and saved my life by calling the animal shelter to come and get me. I was getting pretty skinny as there isn't much good to eat in a landfill. I've been learning that I can trust people thanks to my new foster home and with the good food and exercise that I'm getting here, I'm gaining weight, strength and energy every day. I don't mind other dogs, as long as they give me my space when I need it. I am ok with cats, but will chase them if they are outside with me. I am house trained. I'd like to live in a house with people who have experience with German Shepherds and understand that I am a big, strong, smart guy who needs a lot of love and patience. I like to give and receive affection and I am looking forward to my happily ever after!
This dog is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. The adoption fee is $375 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368.
If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between noon and 2pm. An additional $75 fee will be added for puppies picked up from our Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. MA residents are no longer allowed to adopt from our adoption center or our adoption events due to MA regs. All MA adoptions must be finalized prior to the puppy leaving our care in TN.
