for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Huey's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Huey's Story...
Huey is a happy 3 year old Husky/Shepherd mix. He was recently adopted and returned because he was aggressive with the cats in the family. Huey was great with the other dogs and loved to run and play with them. He was a little possessive of toys so shouldn't be given toys around other dogs or children. Huey knows the commands sit, stay, shake, lay down, come and kennel. He was house and crate trained. Huey enjoys car rides too. Stop by and check out Huey. He really is a nice fellow.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Huey, a Elyria German Shepherd Dog/Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Husky for sale in Elyria, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Husky dog from a breeder in Elyria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elyria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elyria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Husky breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elyria paves the way for another one to be saved.
