Fantasia and her brother Bastian had the heart of big and fearless explorers in addition to following their foster Momma around the house like little ducklings. It was no surprise that the pair found a home together almost immediately. Unfortunately, in Jan of this year (2017), Fantasia was returned due to no fault of her own. Immediately after she was back in her original foster home, it was obvious that so much of her sweet personality from when she was a kitten remained. Fantasia experienced some medical issues over the past year including stomatitis which led to the removal of all of her teeth. Once that was resolved, it was discovered that Fantasia has an inflammatory disease that affects her skin as well as her digestive system. After trying a mixture of medicine and prescription food, her condition is now being actively and successfully managed. At this time, the only special care that Fantasia requires is a very strict prescription only diet (Royal Canin HP) and lots of cuddles. *Fantasia has had another flare-up with her skin irritation so she is currently back on medication (Prednisolone tablets). It is possible (and probably likely) that this will be a recurring thing throughout her life in terms of flare-ups and medication to treat. Luckily, she is incredibly easy to pill and it is not an expensive medication.
Fantasia is the perfect lap cat and cuddle buddy. She sleeps right up against her foster mommy every night and always lets her rest peacefully (and even sleep in!) until she formally decides to get up. She loves to play fetch with various mice toys and will bring them up to you in her adorable lil toothless muppet mouth. She has tiny chirpy meows that she will greet you with that don’t sound that much different from when she was a kitten. She is still quite petite in stature at only 8 lbs, but her heart is huge and looking for the purrfect furever family to love. Fantasia would prefer to be the only kitty in the home as she has more than enough love to give. Otherwise, she would easily adapt to any size of family or home. Won’t you consider opening your home to your very own house panther to ensure that her “Neverending Story” has the perfect happy ending?
