Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This beautiful boy was taken in along with his brother, and they could be placed in a home together, but it's not absolutely necessary.
Monkey is a 4 yr. old neutered Black Lab. He was very sick as a puppy with a condition that causes swelling of the face and eyelids. He has completely recovered, but it's left his face scarred around his face and muzzle. Monkey is very nervous around strangers but once he is comfortable with you he is a friendly, playful dog who loves to play with balls and squeaky toys. Monkey will need a home where he can be the only pet. Kids also make him nervous so an adult only home would be best. We are told Monkey prefers women over men but the most important thing is that his new owner is someone who is patient and kind to him and will give him enough time and love to build his confidence. He loves to run and would love a home where he can stay active. Don't let Monkey's BIG BARK fool you. He's a softy at heart.
