Liberty's Story...
Liberty is a friendly hound mix, approximately two years old. Miss Lady Liberty got her name because she was found around Independence Day. Shockingly, no one claimed this sweet girl! She is very calm and gentle, and hasn’t made a peep while living in her foster home. Liberty is a “chill” dog unless she spots a squirrel in the backyard - then she turns into a silent missile! She gets along well with cats and other dogs. She is housetrained. She is very smart and obedient, and she is a great walking partner. Liberty is on the shy side, but quickly attaches to people and loves to get head scratches and belly rubs. If you are interested in adopting Liberty, please complete an online application at www.henricohumane.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Liberty, a Richmond Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
