Hello, my name is Kona. I'm a 1-2 year old, gorgeous female Shar Pei mix of about 50 lbs. In case you can't tell, I have a little spot of blue in one of my eyes which makes me even more unique.
I was dumped here at the pound in a kennel with my best friend Kota on July 3rd... yeah... big booms, barking dogs here at the pound, new place... needless to say we were absolutely terrified and it took the pound a few days to get us to warm up but we are starting to come around nicely.
I'm still a little more shy and untrusting with new people than my buddy is. I just need some time to warm up to people. I am getting better everyday, though.
I get along really well with other dogs and I am playful. Other dogs really make me more confident and outgoing... and treats! Yeah! I like those too!
I am going to take a little time and patience but I am going to be a great dog once I learn how nice people can be.

I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and my Bordatella vaccine and I have been given 3 days of panacur dewormer.
PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER JULY 6, 2015.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.
MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY SPAY SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.
THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED ON SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
