Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Cora is 13-14 inches and 23 pounds
Cora is an adorable 2-3 year old beagle who was brought to a local animal shelter after she was found and her owner couldn’t be located. Cora’s foster mom took one look at her big brown eyes and big floppy ears and took her home right away. Her foster mom says it is almost impossible to say no to those eyes so be ready to take Cora home forever if you meet her!
While one of Cora’s favorite things to do is cuddle with you, she often cowers down when you reach out to pet her or go to pick her up. If you let her do it on her terms she will approach you with a wagging tail and jump up on the couch and crawl into your lap. A family that loves to cuddle is a must for Cora! She would LOVE it if her family would let her sleep in bed with them at night. Cora is also afraid of a few silly things like lit candles and the BBQ pit, her foster mom thinks she is scared of fire for some reason. Cora will get over her fears; she just needs a family that will be patient with her in the meantime.
Another thing Cora needs in her forever family is a doggie playmate! Cora has attached herself to one of her foster brothers and the two are never far apart. They wrestle together, play tug-o-war and just hang out on the dog bed together. If he isn’t available she will use any of her foster siblings as a pillow. She doesn’t mind if it is a larger dog either, she was caught sleeping on a golden retriever who spent the night.
Cora is housetrained with a doggie door. She should be ok without one but her family will need to work with her while she learns how to ask to go out. Cora can be VERY mischievous when no one is looking so needs to be crated while you’re away. She is definitely still a puppy at heart!
