My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Angus. I am a 1 year old American Pit Bull Terrier looking for my forever home. I am on the shorter side and only weigh about 45 lbs. I have loved all the people, children, dogs, and butterflies I have ever met. I am a little bit of a goofball and love to roll around in the grass. Oh and did I mention, I love to play! I am learning to love my crate, I sleep in it every night. When I was rescued I had testing and we found out I had a congenital heart defect. You would never know though, because I play, cuddle, and kiss like other pups my age. I had surgery on July 1st to improve the heart defect and now I am feeling much better! My cardiologist says my prognosis is good. I will have to visit my cardiologist once per year for a check-up and testing. I would love some kids or dogs to grow up with but I would also love to just be someone's baby. I can’t wait to meet my forever family!

Angus is being fostered in Upton.

The adoption fee is $100.

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
