My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Papi is a 3 year old red and rust male Doberboy. His ears have been cropped but they don’t stand which gives him that quizzical flying nun appearance.
His tail is docked. He is one very athletic canine. He absolutely LOVES to play with balls and flying discs….catching them in the air! Check out this link to see him in action http://youtu.be/dBBraMjbXJU He can even get up to four tennis balls in his mouth at one time! He loves to chew on bones and antlers and carries them around the house every chance he gets. He also loves to carry some of your things around as well so due diligence will have to be paid to keep those items out of reach! He is completely housebroken and has never had an accident in the house. He is crate trained and rides quietly in one while in the car.
He is an excellent watchdog and will bark when someone comes to the door. He will happily greet everyone after they have been invited in and given a seat. He lives with two cats in his foster home and pays them no mind at all.
Papi also has two foster siblings….a male Smooth Fox Terrier and a female Dobe.
He gets along well with both of them but will need a playmate that can keep pace with and tolerate a large, young, energetic dog.
Papi would do best in a home with older, dog savvy children….no toddlers, please! He also requires a large, fenced in yard where he can be free to run and play with his favorite toys. Papi is not a dog for the first time Doberman owner.
However, if you are an experienced owner and have the time and desire to continue with the socialization and training that he needs,
Papi will repay you with the greatest of love and companionship.
