Here is an update on Lela:
Update on Lela. Lela's biopsy results came back, and she has bone cancer, osteosarcoma. An amazing rescue, Love On A Leash Rescue has offered to rescue back Lela. She has undergone her first chemo treatment. She did well, she was nauseous for half a day, but has been great ever since. Lela still has a happy, great attitude and her tail continues to wag constantly. Lela also had her first acupuncture session, for building up her immune system, and overall harmony for her body. At this moment Lelah is going to need a hospice forever home- a home that will allow her to be comfortable and love her for the time that she has left on this earth.
The rescue needs help with the chemo and acupunture treatments and holistic supplements so that Lela will have a more comfortable life. Please consider donating $5 or any amount.
Or visit their website www.lolr.org and you can make donations there too.
This dog is not with SCBR - please contact Alice - alice888chow@gmail.com for more information on this dog.
Lela- 5 year old Olde English Bulldog. Her owners took her to the San Bernardino City Shelter to be PTS because they didn't want to pay the vet to repair her bleeding mammary tumor. Lela has been an outside dog her entire life, never once been to the vet. While at the vet getting her tumor removed, they discovered she had a hernia. She had the mammary tumor and hernia removed, dental cleaning (some teeth were extracted) and spay. Even after everything she has been through, Lela is very happy and has great energy. She loves cats, dogs and all people. She's very friendly and we hope to find a loving home for her where she will be an indoors dog where she is loved and part of the family.
