My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Minnie, a wiry terrier mix, about 3 years old and weighing in at 20 pounds. This little ragmop is as adorable as they come.
Friendly, mild-mannered, good company, and a bit of a couch-potato, but that means you always know where she is and you always have someone to sit with, listen to music with or watch TV with. She likes to be with her foster mom and will follow her around the house, the yard - then, it’s back to the couch or chair. She’s always ready for a back-scratch, head-scratch (loves them)… and just likes to be NEAR her human. A perfect little constant companion, she would do best with someone who is home a lot.

Though she's new to her foster home, she appears housetrained as long as she's kept on a regular schedule. No problem in her crate, she goes in easily - and happy to come out! She's easy on the leash - loves to go for walks - pulls a bit, but not too hard.

Minnie seems to prefer the quiet life. Puppies and other active dogs are 'overwhelming' for Minnie. She's adjusted to her older foster brother, tolerates him and they sleep on the couch together, but not much interaction. So she probably won't be much of a play companion for another dog, but would make a nice house companion for an older/quieter dog. Cats seem to be no problem. She ignores them . . . as long as they ignore her. She shares "their couch" without a problem.

Overall, she's a quiet, peaceful little girl. Not a big 'toy-playing dog', at least right now. As she becomes adjusted, that could change. We have not had her around children yet, but don't think she would be a good match for younger children. Older children who are not looking for a play-companion and are mature enough to respect Minnie's space would be fine.

Minnie's adoption fee of $300 includes vet exam, distemper combo vaccination, bordetella vaccination, rabies vaccination, heartworm test, heartworm preventative, flea & tick preventative, routine deworming, microchip and spay.
