Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DOB April 13, 2014.
Pretty Claire is a hero. When another mom cat became critically ill, Claire – who had one kitten of her own – became surrogate mom to four more kittens. It wasn’t easy for her and she had a bit of a rough time, but she was a good mom – very protective of her kittens. The kittens were healthy and happy and all were adopted to good homes. Now it's Claire's turn!
Nothing is known about Claire’s background; she was turned over to Toronto Cat Rescue by the person who found her and her kitten. Once all the kittens were gone, Claire began to relax. She’s still a little bit skittish and may need a little extra time to adjust to a new home. But she’s actually quite brave; she doesn’t hide and always wants to be near the action, even coming out for strangers if play is involved. She may never be a cuddly lap cat but her foster sees great potential in her – she’s come a long way already, and is really warming up to being pet. In fact, she quite enjoys it! Every day brings new signs of progress.
Claire is extremely playful and that helps her come out of her shell. She’s a tiny girl who especially loves the laser pointer and foam balls. She enjoys the company of the other cats in her foster home – the boys in particular – and would probably do best in a home with another cat. Claire enjoys her food, has excellent litter box habits, and uses her scratching post.
Please give Claire the loving and understanding home she deserves!
