Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Theo was rescued from an apartment parking lot complex where he had been living under the cars. After being coaxed out from under the cars, he was taken in by his current foster home. Theo is neutered and has his first round of shots.
At first, Theo was skinny, very scared and anxious. He would flinch if anyone made a quick movement around him. With a lot of care, he has become a cuddly, happy, energetic puppy. He sits on the foster mom’s lap when watching TV and sleeps at the end of the bed. He also follows the foster mom around the house, including into the bathroom, and will sneak out into the garage every chance possible; he loves going for rides in the car! He knows basic commands, though he whines and wiggles when told to “stay”. His tricks for treats include jumping and “dancing” on his hind legs; he can almost do a circle.
Theo does best when there is a consistent schedule in the foster home, has regular walks and time to run and play at the dog park. He becomes somewhat anxious and excitable when a routine is disrupted, shown by acting extra clingy to the foster parent and possibly “dribbling” on the floor in excitement. When starting a walk, he will wrestle with his leash and run around in circles for a bit. When he starts walking at a brisk pace, he remains next to the person, walking proud.
Instead of a crate, Theo has a hassock that, when told “go to your chair”, he will run to and sit on. This gives him time to calm down and have a break from the other dogs for a few minutes. He is very protective of his home, and will bark and sometimes growl at guests. He calms down when reassured that it’s okay, but it takes him some time to get used to the visitors.
Theo hopes to find an active, fun and affectionate adoptive home where he can grow up and be safe. If you would like to make Theo part of your family, contact his foster Mom, Lynn at 702-465-2330, there is a $200.00 adoption fee.
