Splish's Story...
Splish is the perfect cat for any family. And he is trained to walk on a leash!! He never meets a stranger - human or animal. He is a cuddle bug and is always ready to snuggle and take a nap. He greets you at the door as soon as you come in with a head bump and a loud purr. He is comfortable around children and dogs, and other cats, and is not the least bit shy. His favorite pastime is getting to go outside on his leash, crunching leaves, or just laying out in the sun with his brother, Splash. His favorite toys are whatever packaging his actual toys came in. He is very independent, yet still has a kitten-like playful personality. Splish is felv/fiv negative, up to date on vaccines, neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee is only $75, but you have to complete an application first! http://www.forrescue.net/cat-application/

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Splish, a Knoxville Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Knoxville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Knoxville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Knoxville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Knoxville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Knoxville paves the way for another one to be saved.
