Grover is a one year old male scruffy dog. We're not exactly sure his breed mix, but he definitely has some terrier in him. Guesses on mixes have included schnauzer, wire fox terrier, and Jack Russell terrier. Whatever he is mixed with, he is one cute dog! Grover weighs about 17lbs and is quite tall for his weight, thanks to his long legs. He comes from a shelter in southern Indiana, but we don't know any more about his history. Grover is a funny, spunky little guy. He loves to play with squeaky toys. He will chase a tennis ball but doesn't bring it back yet. Grover is energetic and definitely needs a yard where he can run or a family willing to take him for walks, or both! Once Grover is done playing, he loves to snuggle up on the couch with his favorite person. Grover has been very friendly with every person he has met. He gets along well with my older female dogs and did well with another small male dog in my house. Big dogs seem to intimidate him a bit, but he might be okay with a calmer one. He is interested in cats, but doesn't seem to want to hurt them. He does like to chase them if they run, and will sometimes antagonize them into a reaction. He has gotten better with this over time, but he needs to go to a home with cats that are used to dogs. Grover is doing well on house training. He does stay in a crate when I am not home. At night he sleeps in my bed or in a crate. Grover has been neutered and is current on vaccines. He has also tested negative for heartworms and intestinal parasites. Grover's adoption fee is $200, which includes free microchipping. If you're interested in learning more about Grover, please call his foster mom, Shelly at
