Tyson's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Tyson's Story...
Tyson is a 1 year old neutered male Labrador Retriever mix. He is good with kids and seems to do good with the other dogs here, but he is very playful, so if you have a resident dog they would have to be tolerant to his boisterous outlook on life. He is a large sized dog and has high energy. He is fully housetrained and has never been around cats. Come down and visit with Tyson to see if he would be perfect for you!

$150 Adoption Fee for all Dogs and Puppies. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, a heartworm/lymes test (for adults), microchip, and all age appropriate vaccinations. (Puppies are too young for the test but will be started on preventative.)

SHELTER HOURS: 1:00pm – 6:00pm Tuesday - Thursday; 12:00pm – 4:00pm Friday and Saturday; 1pm-4pm Sunday; Closed Monday. We welcome adoptions from people living out of the area or outside the state of Virginia. The application process is completed in person at the shelter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tyson, a Staunton Labrador Retriever/Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Husky for sale in Staunton, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Husky dog from a breeder in Staunton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Staunton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Staunton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Husky breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Staunton paves the way for another one to be saved.
