Sandy's Story...
Sandy is a best friend dog. She's loyal, eager to please, and totally devoted to her caretaker. She was found sitting on the side of the road, waiting for help. When the car stopped, she jumped in and asked for a ride - she needed help and she knew it! She's crate trained (loves her crate and eagerly goes in it), is house trained, and plays well with other dogs. She shares her foster home with cats and is great with them too. During her visit to the FOR office she met about 15 cats and didn't blink an eye! She's delightful and we'd like to see her in a forever home very soon. If you'd like to meet her, please email us at info@FORrescue.net. You may also get a head start by completing the dog application at www.FORrescue.net. We'll talk to you soon! Thank you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sandy, a Homewood Wirehaired Fox Terrier/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Wirehaired Fox Terrier/Dachshund for sale in Homewood, or seeking a Wirehaired Fox Terrier/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Homewood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homewood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homewood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Wirehaired Fox Terrier/Dachshund breeders who help with Wirehaired Fox Terrier/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homewood paves the way for another one to be saved.
