Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Tater Tot! She is one the the most gentle and sweetest dogs we have ever had. We believe she is about 8-9 yrs old. Tater is a different dog than when we first got her. She originally came from animal control where she had come in as a stray. Poor Tater was so obese and could not walk or hold herself up. Through several months of proper vet care, thyroid meds, knee surgery, measuring her food, water therapy, and exercises she has went from 9.6 lbs to 5 lbs- which is HUGE! The vet believes her rear legs were not formed properly from birth, which causes her some minor challenges, but she has had one of her knees repaired. She gets along great now, but will never walk completely normally. She will need a family who will be dedicated to keeping the weight off of her and to continue working with building her muscles in her rear legs. Tater also has low thyroid, which she is on daily medication for, which is fairly inexpensive. She gets along with other dogs, does great with her housetraining and will be a wonderful companion for the lucky family who adopts her. Tater Tot's adoption fee is $250.
If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website at www.perfectpooches.org under the Adoption Process tab. All dogs are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, heartworm tested (as appropriate), fecal tested, and microchipped.
