My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! My name is Diego and I am a strikingly beautiful Catalina Macaw, which is a hybrid of a Blue and Gold Macaw and a Scarlet Macaw. I am in perfect feather and my foster mom says I am just gorgeous! I have to agree with her! I enjoy human affection, but I do not care for other parrots. I have been around cats before and I actually have this weird thing for them – but please remember that even though I seem to want to be near them, that parrots should never be allowed to interact with cats or dogs, ever! If I am out of my cage – other species of animals should be in another room. You are the human and must keep me safe, so please keep that in mind! I am a very good eater and like most parrots, I am very interested in whatever it is that you are eating! I am currently fed a diet of pellets, chop, fresh vegetables and fruits, and healthy nuts as treats. I do get a bite of healthy foods that my foster Mom may be eating though, and that makes me very happy! I also enjoy a good shower! My foster Mom says that for a Macaw, I am actually fairly quiet – but that doesn’t mean I can’t have my moments! I hope that you will come and meet me very soon, I am looking forward to a family of my own.
