Mercy's Story...
Hi, I'm Mercy and I'm a super sweet natured and affectionate young (1-2 year old) female Pit Bull mix that is chocolate with white on my chest and toes. I get along well with other dogs and I'm a shelter staff favorite. Sadly, my teeth are even with her gums and possibly were filed down by a previous owner (a technique for preventing dogs from being able to defend themselves when used as bait dogs by pit bull fighting rings), so I could sure use a sweet and loving family to take me in and love me forever because I want and deserve it! And I haven't been cat tested, but I'm willing to try it out!

Although I am currently in Natchez, Mississippi, transportation to the New England area is provided by Animal Rescue Front and is included in the adoption fee. If you are interested in taking me into your forever home, please fill out the adoption form here:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mercy, a Groton Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Groton, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Groton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Groton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Groton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Groton paves the way for another one to be saved.
