My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LEYLA is a 6 year old spayed black female LAB who weighs 88 pounds. She is a very sweet and pretty girl. She is house trained and is fine with free reign when you are away from the home. Leyla knows the commands: sit, heel, paw, come, monkey (means play frisbee). She enjoys going for walks, and loves to retrieve balls and frisbees. She is good with the dogs she meets while on walks. Leyla should go to a home with no cats as she will chase cats. Leyla is approved for kids ages 10+.

Update (8/24): Leyla's top 5 cutest things:
1. She should try out for a canine soccer team. She bats tennis balls around with her front feet on the ground and in the house and then runs to catch them like a cat.
2. She doesn't leave the house without a tennis ball in her mouth.
3. She rolls around on her back on the ground on top of her tennis ball and Frisbee. Is she scratching her back or is she showing them love?
4. She will move her water and food bowl with her feet when she wants them filled. When she's thirsty or hungry, she lets you know!
5. She crawls down hills with her belly on the ground like a soldier.
Leyla is quite a character. We're always laughing at something she's doing.

Update (8/11): We’ve been fostering beautiful Leyla for two weeks. The first few days she was checking us out from a distance. Now she feels like a part of the family and the relaxed Leyla has come out of her shell. She likes to spend time with us but she also likes her alone time, taking frequent naps. However, if you ask her if she wants to go for a walk, she’s by the front door in a minute. Squirrels and rabbits – nothing to get excited about. Balls and frisbees – that’s another story.

From evaluator: Leyla is a sweetheart! She greeted me with a wagging tail and gave me sweet puppy kisses. She met my dog on neutral ground and she was fine with him. She was more interested in playing with her frisbee. Leyla should be fed separately from other dogs as she doesn't like to share her food with other dogs. She is a very sweet and loving dog to her family.
