My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet GiGi. GiGi is around 2 years and weighs around 35 pounds. We are guessing her to be a beagle mix. She came to us from an abuse situation. A lady contacted us about helping a dog her uncle owned. She let us know he was very abusive to her and would kick her if he didn’t like what she was doing. The lady couldn’t take this abuse anymore and finally talked her uncle into surrendering her to us. We didn’t hesitate and went straight to her rescue. On top of knowing the abuse she had endured, when we went to pick her up we found her living on a short lead with grass taller than her surrounding her. She was also covered in ticks and fleas. We brought her home gave her a bath, gave her flea and tick prevention and started her vaccines.

So a little bit about her personality is that she is great with other dogs and kids. She has not been cat tested at this time, but can be upon request. We have learned she can be a little skittish at first, but after a short time her personality comes out. She is a total sweetheart especially towards women and children. She likes men but because a man abused her she keeps her distance until she knows they won’t show her any harm. This is completely understandable for a dog who has been kicked several times in her short life of two years. Will you help GiGi in getting to her forever home and live the remainder of her life not having to worry about getting kicked again?

Gigi is heartworm negative, on monthly prevention, up to date on all vaccines, and is spayed. Her adoption fee is $400.
