Lacey's Story...
Lacy is a two year old Corgie/Chihuahua Mix. Her owner fell and broke her hip and is not able to care for her any more. She is used to a quiet home, is housebroken and very sweet. She is also very frightened to be put up for adoption again. She was turned into BARC, the city's animal shelter with her siblings when she was a week old. Busters Friends botlefed the litter until they were adopted. Her picture does not do her justice, her ears are usually up. If you have a nice quiet home, she would love to come live with you.

This dog is updated on shots, spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped, and heartworm tested. The adoption fee is $125.
Meet our dogs! They will be available for adoption at our weekend adoption venues!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lacey, a Houston Chihuahua/Corgi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Corgi for sale in Houston, or seeking a Chihuahua/Corgi dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Corgi breeders who help with Chihuahua/Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
