Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Evie has quite a remarkable story to tell! She came to us via a very rural shelter outside of Bakersfield after someone found her wandering down a dirt road, skin and bones, infested with ticks and fleas, and dragging a chain around her neck. We can't believe she was still alive! What a testament it is to her, and how amazing a dog she is that she can no only live but thrive! Since she has been with us the past month she has gained almost 10 lbs. Evie LOVES dogs and will need a home with another dog as we think it will help build confidence. She is still very shy and will need a home who will be extra cautious with her yet let her find her way. She really likes kids as well and is known to fall asleep at the foot of her human foster brother's bed at night (he's a kiddo). Evie is spayed, microchipped, current on vaccinations, house broken, crate trained, and just a really superb young dog! We estimate her age to be around a year and a half to 2 years old and she weighs around 40 lbs. Please visit our website for an application www.apurposefulrescue.org
