My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Ollie. I am a Patagonian Conure, and I am about 14 years old. No one really knows if I am male or female, except me, and I'm not telling. I don't remember much about my earlier years, but during that time I plucked a lot of my feathers out. I spent the next 3 years with a loving family, but they had some financial set backs and weren't able to keep me, so I came to Beak n Wings in the summer of 2015. It was hard leaving my family, I had some separation anxiety and was quite noisy for the first few weeks. I have adjusted now and my friendly personality has come out, I step up on a hand or a perch. I love to ride on shoulders, but I get bored after a while and I squawk right in your ear when I want down. I no longer damage my feathers and most of them have come back but, unfortunately, some of my feather follicles were damaged and those feathers won't come back. I am playful, my favorite things are my bell and my foot toys. I say a few words, whistle, and dance to music. When I first came to Beak n Wings, I was eating an all seed diet, but I have come to love my Fruit ZuPreem pellets too. I like a few nuts for treats, but so far I won't touch any fruit, veggies, or table foods...not even French fries. I can't wait to be adopted, my new family will get lots of love. Adoption fee: $250.
