Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Zoey - a three-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier/Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix. When you sit to write descriptions about dogs, you try your best to really capture them, but with Zoey, you really need to meet her to understand. Zoey is just wonderful. She has unbelievable manners. Recently we held an adoption event and invited Zoey as our honored guest. With over 60 people present, Zoey happily greeted everyone, her favorite ball in her mouth. She did not jump and just wagged her tail hoping for someone to pet her. Once dinner was served, she sat quietly and waited - not once did she beg.
Zoey loves to play ball. It is favorite thing and brings her signature smile on her face. She brings the ball back each time and waits for you to tell her to "drop it." Once you ask, she happily drops it at your feet and backs up waiting for you to throw it again. Need a dog that does tricks? Zoey eagerly shakes with both paws, sits, goes down, waits, and leaves it like a champion.
Have kids? Even better. She is a rockstar with kids! They may be her favorite people - which is saying something because this dog LOVES people.
Zoey has been looking for a home for two years. Two years of waiting to be treasured and loved the way she deserves. We don't understand why this wonderful girl is still waiting. She's good with dogs her size (okay - she has a flaw . . . she likes kitties and smaller dogs a little too much) and is a perfect house dog, both crate-trained and housebroken. Ideally her future home would be an active family who wants to include her on their activities, or someone with a fenced-in yard that could throw her ball for her until her heart is content. She would be perfect for a family with kids.
All Zoey needs is a chance. She's done her part of the bargain. She's been a good girl patiently waiting for her chance at happily-ever-after. It's her turn. Please consider adding this once-in-a-lifetime dog to your family.
