Hi there. My name is Nitro. I'm around 1 year old and i weigh about 50 lbs.
I was seized by the pound from my owner's home. They had me tied out in the middle of the yard on a 4' leash. It was 83 degrees, I had no access to shade and no water. I was panting hard and I probably would have ended up dying from a heat stroke if I wasn't taken. A card was placed on my owner's door but they never made contact so I am now looking for a new home.
I am a VERY sweet and affectionate boy. I love to cuddle and give kisses and get loved on. I can be a little timid with new people at first but I warm up in no time.
I get along wonderful with all of the other dogs. I am very playful too.
I do need to learn not to jump up when I get really excited but that is my only fault so with a little training I will be the best boy in no time!!

I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.
PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER JULY 28, 2015.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.
MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY NEUTER SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.
THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
