Here's what the humans have to say about me:
SOPHIE HAS BEEN ADOPTED!!Sophie is an absolutely gorgeous 1-2 year old female Shepherd/Lab mix. She's a great medium sized pup, not too large and not too small and weighs in right around 50 pounds. She as turned into an animal control facility after being struck by a car and it was discovered she had a broken pelvis, which just needs time to heal on it's own. Sophie is all healed now and is ready to find a home. This girl is just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. She's an easy-going and gentle dog that gets along well with everyone she meets including the other dogs and cats at the shelter. She'll fit in easily to most homes and will make someone very happy! Sophie is currently awaiting rescue/adoption from an open intake-shelter in southern IL. Pals Place works closely with them to help place their dogs into forever homes. We have only observed her in a kennel environment so we cannot say for sure if she's housetrained, adopters must be willing to potentially take on this task. We would love to help her out, but all of our foster homes are filled. Pal's Place has no shelter facility and relies entirely on foster homes and paid boarding. We can only save as many dogs as we have adoptive or foster homes for! If interest is shown in her, Sophie can be transported to Chicago. She will be fully vetted and prepared for adoption or a foster home. If seriously interested in possibly adopting or fostering (fosters must be in or very near Chicago) this deserving girl, please email Palsplace1@hotmail.com**PLEASE NOTE: IF INTERESTED IN FOSTERING YOU MUST BE IN CHICAGO OR IN A NEIGHBORING SUBURB**
•Sophie's adoption donation is $275. This donation helps to cover her spay, initial vaccines, initial worming and microchip. Pal's Place relies solely on donations to care for the pets in our care. Your donation also helps save other animals like Bella from euthanasia.
• Please email Palsplace1@hotmail.com for an adoption application and please put the name of the dog in the subject line. Please be sure to check your spam/junk folder; sometimes the applications end up in there!
• All of our dogs are in foster homes are can be seen BY APPOINTMENT ONLY, after an approved application has been received. To receive more info please email palsplace1@hotmail.com. Email is the preferred method of contact and is the quickest way to receive a response. We cannot place holds on our dogs, please do not contact us until you are prepared to adopt.
