Hello. My name is Nixie. I'm about 1 year old and I weigh about 25 lbs.
I was found by the landlord after my family moved out and left me abandoned in a cage in the house.The landlord found someone to keep my friend and me safe until the pound opened on Monday.
I'm a very shy and timid girl but I'm super sweet and I make up to new people in no time. I am becoming more and more social everyday as I adjust to my surroundings. Treats help too. I love treats!
I'm very loving and affectionate once I warm up to new people.
I am good with other dogs, but some dogs really scare me, especially if they invade my space before I am comfortable with them.
I do really wonderful when I am in the office which is typically all day (because I'm so good).

I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.

HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.
MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY SPAY SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.
THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
