Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maurice is a handsome senior pom surrendered to a local pound to be euthanized because he was old and having trouble going up and down stairs. This sweet boy's coat is very dirty and matted and loaded with flea dirt and he doesn't appear to have had any recent medical care or grooming. Our vet checked him out an he has a heart murmur and some arthritis in his hind end but nothing to warrant him being killed right now, and he seems to be in pretty good shape otherwise. He's a very sweet quiet gentle oversized pom, about 15lbs, and is getting groomed and started on pain meds and joint supplements to help him get around better. Maurice is looking for a home where he will be loved and get proper care for whatever time he has left. He is fine with other gentle dogs and loves to be held. We do not have a shelter- all our pets are in foster homes and can be seen by appointment only during the week, or at our weekly pet adoptions every Sunday at the Animal Clinic of Morris Plains from 12:30 to 3PM at 3009 Route 10 East next to 5 Star Car Wash (formerly Boulder Car Wash) in Morris Plains (Denville on GPS).
