My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

NEIL is a 5 year old neutered black male Lab who weighs 54 pounds. He l was found as a stray with another Lab. The other dog came to Lab Rescue last month and has since been adopted. At the time, our rescue contacts were not aware of Neil. Once we found out that he was still at the shelter and running out of time, we didn't want to leave him behind, so we decided to bring him to Lab Rescue and find him a home, just like we did with his buddy. Neil is a sweet boy with a cute smile. He rides well in the car and walks well with an Easy-Walk harness. We don't have any cat or kid history on Neil, so he's approved for kids 10 +.

Update (8/03): Neil is a mellow fellow. He seeks our attention at times but is far from demanding. He has probably lived in a house before as he knows how to do stairs and the TV and microwave, etc do not scare/fascinate him. He hasn't had any accidents in the house. He knows sit, down and come. His foster has not crated him when not in the house and has been keeping him in the kitchen with baby gates with no problems at all. He needs work walking on a leash. He took a trip to PetSmart to get fitted for Easy Walk harness and he did well with other dogs we met. He has not shown any interest in playing with any toys so far. He loves to be brushed. He seems to be a quiet boy and has not barked so far, just some minor whining. He would be a great condo or townhouse dog due to his size.

This dog is available for adoption from Lab Rescue LRCP. The rescue has between 50 ~ 80 dogs available for adoption.

If you are interested in adopting, please visit www.lab-rescue.org and complete an adoption application. Within a few days of submitting an application you will hear from an Adoption Coordinator who will guide you through the adoption process.

An adoption fee is charged to cover the cost of veterinary care and a house check is required.
