Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Raccoon is a 3-4 year old Havanese mix. He is grey and white and weighs 16 lbs. We say no kids for this boy right now. He was scared and barked and growled at people from his kennel while in the shelter. Now that he is in foster he is behaving well with other dogs and cats and is good in his crate. He is fine with smaller dogs and cats in a home environment but can easily get over-excited in high activity areas like adoption events. He has a little separation anxiety but is generally mellow. He is crazy about playing FETCH. He loves his walks and is good on the leash. Raccoon minds well and obeys NO, SIT and COME. He is smart and very receptive to learning. He is initially fearful with strangers and may also be a little aggressive with them. He is spooked by men who tower over him; at a distance he is ok. He also gets spooked by the sound of keys rattling and gates opening and closing. He may start barking and get anxious but he does settle down. We expect these issues to shake out over time. He is housetrained.
