My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! My name is Prudence. I’m a 2-year-old spayed female Dachshund mix. I weigh about 20 pounds. I’ve heard my human friends call me adorable and sweet, which is pretty flattering, I must admit. But don’t just take their word for it, check out my photos and judge for yourself. I’m a really happy dog and my tail never stops wagging. I’m very affectionate, too! I love getting attention and pets from people, and I get along great with other dogs.

I was dropped off at a high-kill shelter in early July and I was really confused as to how and why I was brought there. They can’t say for sure, but the staff at the shelter thinks it was probably my family that dropped me off. Why didn’t they want me anymore?! I guess I’ll never know. I thought we had a good life together taking walks, going to the park, napping, cuddling…all of my favorite things!

Lucky for me, the nice people at CageFree saw me at the shelter and decided to bring me into their rescue and find me a new family. Hopefully one that enjoys the same activities I do.
