Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Suki is a sweet 2 year old mix that was brought to Friendship because there was a divorce in her family and she had no where to live. She lived with 2 other big dogs that were already re-homed and loved to play with them. She was a little food aggressive with them and needed to be fed by herself. Hopefully her current training will take care of this. Suki does not like cats. She has been with small children but it would be best if her new home was with older children or adults only. This poor girl was always kept on a tie out when outside and would love a fenced in yard. Suki enjoys car rides and playing with toys, especially pull toys. She does not have much leash experience and tends to pull. She is excellent with her house training and will go to the door when she needs to potty. Suki is a very nice girl that is looking for a loving home to call her own as soon as she returns from her training.
On August 06, 2015 Suki was selected to be one of Friendship's Prison Dogs. She is currently undergoing training at the Grafton Correctional Institution. Prison Dogs are trained in obedience, basic commands, manners and proper leash walking. She will spend approximately 12 weeks at the prison.
If you are interested in adopting this prison dog, adoption applications are now being accepted. This dog will be returning to Friendship in a few weeks so get your adoption app in ASAP. You can find an app at friendshipapl.org under ADOPT-FIND A FRIEND. Hand deliver the app to Friendship or call if you live a distance away to see if you can fax one in. Please do not email the app.
If you have any questions, please contact the shelter at 440-322-4321. Or email at adoptions@friendshipapl.org.
All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.
