Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This sweet little Cookie has been with us for a few weeks now, growing up in one of our foster homes. Her foster mom says Cookie is very loving and often is the first to attract peoples' attention. She is playful and curious and gentle and loves to wrestle with all of the other dogs and play tug of war with their toys. She also loves to be carried around the house or yard, happy for any attention she can get. She is the smallest of her litter, currently weighing in at 4 pounds, and follows the other pups around more than wandering off on her own. She does not mind the kennel and will also happily take a toy with her into the opened kennel if there are other pups in there, and plays for a bit inside of it before settling down for a nap.
Our best guess is that Cookie is a hound mix, but at this young of an age breed is hard to be certain. So since we don't know what breed or size she will grow into, only those willing to take pot luck need apply! Because of her young age, she will need to go to a home with a stay-at-home person who will continue with her training and socialization and keep her well exercised. Adults and older children recommended. Lots of activity and puppy school is a must.
Now that Cookie is old enough, we've moved her to Wilmette Pet Center, 625 Green Bay Rd. where you can meet her anytime during store hours 7 days a week. (847-251-6750 www.wilmettepetcenter.com). Although you may want to adopt her on the spot, please know that you will have to go through the application process first.
Cookie's date of birth is approximately 5/30/15 and her adoption fee of $350 includes vet exam, distemper combo vaccination, bordetella vaccination, deworming, heartworm preventative, flea & tick preventative, microchip and spay.
