Update 8/20/15: We were so excited because Suzy got adopted this week, but unfortunately, her adopter had to return her today because of a change in housing that would not allow her to take Suzy. So now, Suzy, through no fault of her own, is back in the shelter as an owner surrender. Suzy couldn’t be sweeter, and she’s a lovely petite young lady. Please come meet her and give her the permanent furever home she deserves!
Update 8/9/15: As of tomorrow Suzy will have been here for exactly a month! Suzy is a friendly, health cat who’s already spayed and UTD on her shots so that she’s ready to go home. All she needs is you!

7/29/15: Suzy was sort of a strange case. She seemed to be pregnant when she was brought in, but then her belly quickly shrunk without her giving birth to any kittens. We suspect that she may have given birth shortly before she was brought in or perhaps there was some kind of miscarriage. When you meet her, you’ll notice that her body is still recovering from that pregnancy. However, she has now been spayed (and brought UTD on her shots) thanks to the Athenspets Spay/Neuter Fund, and she’s ready to find her furever home!
Suzy is an absolute sweetheart. Initially, she could be a little nervous, but now she seems quite used to the shelter staff and volunteers coming in to see her. Today, she got to go into the interaction room for the first time, and she had a blast checking it out. She was a bit hard to photograph because she was so keen on exploring, but at least one time she decide to plop down at my feet for some extra head and belly rubs (as you’ll see in her photos). She’s a great cat, and will make a wonderful addition to any family! Come see her soon now that she’s finally available for adoption.
