My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Merrick is trying so hard at his second chance at life. He was picked up as a stray and is estimated to be around a year old. When he first arrived at GRFR he was unsure and scared. Poor guy just didn't know what to do. Who can blame him? Life on the road is hard on any dog, but for a puppy it must be especially frightening and confusing.

He has Osteo Chrondritis Dessicans (OCD) this condition shows as a limp in his right front leg. He has had X-Rays and the vet thinks he will grow out of this condition. His limp is greatly improved and nothing slows him down. He is receiving glucosamine/chondrotine as a supportive measure.

He is 35 lbs. of love and playfulness. Housebroken, good with dogs and cats, free roam, and sleeps all night. He has learned that the car can be fun. He alerts to strangers, but is not aggressive. He is still wary around those he doesn't know, but slowly and surely he is figuring things out. He is fine with thunderstorms and never has his tail between his legs. He is a great little dog that will be a devoted pet, could you be his special person?
