My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maki is a sweet, spunky short haired boy with the orangest of orange coats. He got his name because he loves his canned seafood cat food so much, that he often smells like a sushi roll after he eats! He is very close to his brother, and he loves to chase him through their tunnel toy, to wrestle with him, and crinkle up tissue paper with him. He loves head scratches and tummy rubs, and will demand tummy rubs with head snuggles and a loud purr, followed by a roll over. In his spare time he likes lifting weights, watching faucets, jumping in wet showers and climbing under covers and onto warm laps for a purr sessions. And, the cutest thing of all… he and his brother run to meet you at the door whenever you come home! This little orange pumpkin is looking for a home for the holidays!

Behaviorally and socially, it’s best to adopt kittens in pairs, or into a home with a playful cat. Maki really needs a playmate in his forever home…and then they can get to play, and snuggle while you're not home. At this time, we are suggesting that Maki be adopted with his brother, Orangina since they are quite bonded. But, if you already have another playful cat or kitten in your home, or would like to meet another one of our fosters, we think Maki would be fine making a new friend.

Maki will be moving to Wilmette Pet on 3/26/16. You can meet him at Wilmette Pet, 625 Green Bay Road, anytime during store hours 7 days a week. (847-251-6750 www.wilmettepetcenter.com). Although you may want to adopt him on the spot, please know that you will have to go through the application process first.

Maki’s estimated date of birth is 5/25/15. His adoption fee of $135 includes his vet exam, FVRCP vaccinations, rabies vaccine, FIV & Feline Leukemia testing (neg), routine deworming, flea control, microchip and neuter.
