Hey there folks, I’m Squirt, a 2 year old boy weighing in at 58 lbs. I know you may be wondering how I ended up with a Golden Retriever rescue since I am not gold. Well, you see, AGB literally saved my life. I lived with a family who had a neighbor with chickens. I love chickens! I love to chase them, that is. Well the neighbor got really mad. So mad, in fact, that he shot me! That’s right, I got shot right in the neck and that neighbor said if I chased his chickens again he would shoot me again. So my family got worried and got some help from a nice lady who took me to AGB. AGB treated me for hook and whip worms, neutered me and removed the bullet from my neck. I’m a sweet boy and I get along well with dogs, cats and kids. I was an "outside dog" before so you may have to spend a little time with me training me and teaching me house manners. Obviously if you have chickens you don’t want chased, I am probably not the dog for you. But I’m told there are plenty of families out there who don’t have chickens but have plenty of love in their hearts for a handsome boy like me who had a bit of tough luck in his past.
