Rosie's Story...
New young tiny Rosie is now in rescue! She is a chi doxy mix that was surrendered by her owners because they could not get her house trained off the piddle pads, which is what she is accustom to using currently. They want her to go outside but she hasn't learned about that quite yet and needs someone that has patience to help her along (or is okay with the piddle pads to use inside - which often small dogs do utilize). She needs someone to give her a chance. Rosie is 6 months in age. We will have updates soon after she has settled in with us and provide to everyone (unless she is scooped up). Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rosie, a Richmond Dachshund/Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Chihuahua for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Dachshund/Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Chihuahua breeders who help with Dachshund/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
