Ellie (Spayed)'s Story...
."Ellie" is a beautiful one-year old female kitty who was brought to the HSOV on May 2, 2015 after she was found in Fleming, Ohio. This sweet young lady has a black short smooth coat, a long tail, and a darling face with a black button nose and large golden eyes. "Ellie" has a affectionate outgoing personality and loves attention. She comes running to the door of her cage whenever visitors walk by to beg for petting or an ear massage :) "Ellie" was a small kitty who weighed 5.6 lbs. when she was spayed, and appears to have gained a few pounds since then :) She was spayed on May 8, 2015 and was also given rabies vaccine. "Ellie" has been waiting quietly and patiently for someone to fall in love with her for the past three months. We'd love to see her in a nice home enjoying attention rather than sitting alone in a small cage. UPDATE: "Ellie" was taken to WeLovPets (Lafayette Plaza, Marietta, Ohio) on February 19, 2016 where she is available for adoption through the HSOV.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ellie (Spayed), a Marietta Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
