Bud's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Sacramento- Bud is just over 7 weeks old now. He was born on 4/20, and is growing fast (after being tiny forever). He has a lot of spunk and likely will be super playful (like his 7 pound yorkieX mom). His short legs and long body makes me think there is some dachshund in there as well. He has grown up with dogs, people and a cat and is social and playful.  You can find our adoption process and apply online at:  http://recycledpetsnorcal.org/adoption-process/

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bud, a Sacramento Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Dachshund for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Dachshund breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
