Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, I'm Sweetpea. Yep, I think my name says it all. Actually, maybe my name should be Survivor. I came to MaxFund from another shelter. My time was up there, so thankfully MaxFund rescued me. Then I got adopted. But I got out of the house and was in an area known to be stalked by foxes and coyotes. For many days, I was outside with a bell on my collar. Thankfully, I didn't get captured by a coyote or fox and volunteers from the MaxFund found me. I am glad to be safe and warm with plenty of food. But now I want to find a home where I'll be safe, loved and comfortable.
I need a home with a patient person. I'm a bit nervous around people and may not let you pet me . I usually just sit on my spot looking very regal and beautiful. I am curious about people but not yet ready to be handled by them. I think in a loving home, I will blossom.
You can tell who I am (there are many long-haired black cats here) by my rhinestone collar. Nope, I'm not a cowgirl with a rhinestone necklace. I'm just a sweet girl looking for a loving home. There is another long-haired black cat named Baxter. He and I like each other and some say we are "velcroed" together. We don't have to be adopted together, but if you want two gorgeous black cats, we're already a pair. So how about it? Ready to give this girl a chance? I hope so!
