Opal's Story...
"My name is OPAL, and I'm a beautiful pit bull lady with a kind face and a loving soul. I'm about eight years old, and I'm easy-going and well-mannered. I know commands like "sit" and "lie down," plus I've already been house trained. You've got to see my face in person to appreciate the warmth in my eyes. I'd be a wonderful pet for a person or family who wants a dog that likes casual walks and pure adoration. I'm respectful with everyone, and I get along well with other dogs. I guess you'd say that I have a well-balanced disposition. Another great thing about me is that as a Super Senior, MY ADOPTION FEE IS ONLY $30. The fee includes my microchip, my spay, and my current basic shots. Not a bad deal for a dog with a heart of gold. Won't you please consider coming to the El Cajon Animal Shelter to meet me? They've got a lovely play yard here where we can spend some time getting to know each other. That would make me so happy! I hope to see you very soon! Love, Opal" Kennel #49

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Opal, a El Cajon Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
