Abbie's Story...
Why Choose me?
Truly, I dare you to say no to this adorable little angel. It was all I could do to tear myself away from her and visit the other new cats. She’s friendly, has the cutest meow, and loves to have her ears scratched, so much so that she’ll happily lie over in a lump of kitten while your give her the ear scratches of a lifetime.

She’s only 5 weeks old, so the shelter really is not a good place for her to be. Please come see this adorable darling and submit an application so that the moment her hold time is up she can leave! You won’t regret visiting this little one. We promise!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Abbie, a Athens Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Athens, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Athens.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Athens already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Athens breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Athens paves the way for another one to be saved.
