Ollie's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Ollie's Story...
Ollie is a very tall, very handsome white neutered 2 year old guy. He is very sweet and tolerable of young children from toddlers on up pulling on him, laying on him, etc. He is a little anxious at times, like in the car but he jumps right in. He seems to like attention to help calm him down. He needs training but is still fairly well behaved for his lack of training. He is crate trained and housebroken, per previous owner, but he has had a couple accidents his first day here. His main issue is that he jumps walls 6ft high to go on adventures where he jumps other walls to explore backyards and find swimming pools! He likes to be outside a lot but with his adventurous nature, that is not a good idea. He loves swimming so a home with a pool would make him very happy. He is getting along with his two foster brothers and his foster sister. Not sure about cats yet as he just got here and they haven't met yet. He walks pretty well on a leash but is very strong so needs some leash training. Doesn't seem to know many commands so we will be working on that. He loves to curl up on the couch and take a nap. He is very sweet and his tail is always wagging. More to come on this beautiful boy as we get to know him better.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ollie, a Phoenix Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
