Florence's Story...
Ciao amici! Why take an expensive European vacation when you can find the beauty of Italy right here in me? Sure, you could see the Palazzo Pitti or The Fountain of Neptune...but can the Palazzo Pitti or The Fountain of Neptune lie at your feet while you read, fetch a ball when you throw it, or give you a good-bye kiss on your way to work? I think not. If you want a sweet, playful, intelligent, and adorable pup who's affectionate, good with other dogs, cats, and gentle kids then I'm your girl…Plus, you could feel like every day is vacation! 6 months old-48lbs. My adoption fee is $240 and includes spay, microchip, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Florence, a Portland German Shepherd Dog/Golden Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Golden Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Golden Retriever puppy from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Golden Retriever breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
