Howie is one of the most tolerant dogs we’ve ever met. He has let us do whatever needed to be done to help him without a single complaint. Because he was chained up and attacked by other dogs in his previous life, he doesn’t quite know what to make of other dogs, and may actually do best as an only dog. If you have a well-balanced dog, we would be happy to set up a meet and greet and see how they get along. He has been quite tolerant of all the comings and goings of the other dogs at our little shelter.
Howie is a boy that wants very much to please his people. Though he has been an outdoor dog all his life, he has kept his new indoor shelter clean. He very much likes being an INDOOR dog, but will need some training to learn house rules. Howie loves to earn treats and he loves to hang out and just be near you. He is proving to be a very intelligent and easy to train boy. He loves learning new things playing fetch and swimming, but what Howie loves most is riding in cars! He is one very happy co-pilot, even if the trip is only to the vet.
